Nuclear Med Tech - Medicine Technologist - Per Diem

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic studies utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment with minimum supervision.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist duties include:
  • Obtains and evaluates patient-related information in order to produce appropriate images.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related information to produce appropriate images.
  • Provides quality services to client facilities and patients.
  • Perform diagnostic studies; select proper technique/protocol to obtain best data.
  • Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by the physician.
  • Operate and manipulate gamma camera to produce and process images.
  • Provides safe transfers and assistance to patients.
  • Operates equipment safely and according to equipment and client facility guidelines.
  • Prevents the transfer of infection and blood borne contaminants.
  • Complies with work instructions and meets quality and quantity criteria of client facility.
  • Complies with policies and procedures of Quik Travel Staffing and client facility.
  • Performs assignments in an independent and professional manner.
  • Maintains current skills in order to perform the above duties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Observes and maintains compliance with all applicable client facility, JCAHO, Federal, State, & County regulations.
  • Completes all other work assignments as assigned by client facility.
Minimum Qualifications for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Current License/Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services
  • Must have CA License IN HAND to Apply
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR card and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification if required
